Most coffee leaves its country of origin as a raw material and is only roasted in the
country of consumption. As a result, the majority of the value is captured abroad. We do it the other way round. Together with cooperatives and farmers in Peru, we bring their self-roasted coffee to Switzerland under their own brand. This means that more value is retained in the growing regions, and the producers’ income does not depend on the global market price, as is the case with green coffee.

Already today, around 38% of the retail price flows back to the farmers, cooperatives and local roasters – compared with 10–15% in conventional trade. Our goal is to increase that share even further – and you can support us in making it happen.
